Sharon Bush Hosts a Benefit Dinner for Cristo Rey Brooklyn High

On Saturday, April 1st Sharon Bush will host a benefit dinner for Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School at the home of Galerie Magazine’s James & Lisa Fayne Cohen featuring entertainment and a live auction with works from Ashley Chase Andrews and Hunt Slonem.A member of the national Cristo Rey Network, Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School opened to freshmen students in September 2008 as Lourdes Academy High School, in the former Lady of Lourdes elementary school building in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. In 2011, the school was renamed Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School in Palm Beach. In 2013, after five years in our initial home, they moved to the former Catherine McAuley High School, in the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. This facility provides Cristo Rey with the capacity to grow enrollment and numerous resources lacking in the previous location enabling us to better serve our students. With the support of religious endorser, the Mid-Atlantic Community of the Sisters of Mercy, and partner, Boys Hope Girls Hope New York, they are committed to educating young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose and service. By offering a rigorous curriculum, a unique work-study experience, and the support of an inclusive school community, they prepare our students to succeed in college and beyond with values essential to a fulfilling life.
